From it’s early days as a Flower and Fete Show, it’s blossomed into a two day event showcasing Equestrian, Pavilion, Poultry, Woodchop, Farriers, and Livestock Judging, Show Ambassador competitions, working dogs in action, live bands, puppet shows, heritage displays, showbags and rides for the thrill seekers. This is followed by an exciting night program which includes annual regulars like the Horse vs Bike race, and the Young Farmers Challenge, a national competition where teams of four race to complete fun tasks like harvesting potatoes out of barrels, or lassoing pretend chickens into pens. We close the night with live music and the oohs and ahs of the crowd as the night sky is lit up with fireworks.
