The weekend of the 29th and 30th of June 2024, saw the 94th Mudgeeraba Agricultural Show welcome over 20,000 people through the gates to enjoy all the history, heritage and traditions of our beloved annual event.
Equestrian, Woodchop, Poultry, Cattle and Farrier Competitions were showcased across the weekend, whilst the arts, craft, horticulture and cookery competitions welcomed over 1000 entries from the local community.
Our Norco milking shed was popular with the city kids of the Gold Coast, with live milking demonstrations and butter churning. The Norco Chocolate & Strawberry milk giveaways were enjoyed by young and old alike.
Brisbricks joined us for a fantastic Lego exhibition and inspired many young visitors to get building and enter next year’s Lego competition at the Show. We watched sheepdog displays, cuddled baby goats and cheered on the piglets as they raced around the hay bales.
We watched woodturners and lapidary demonstrations, enjoyed the model trains and budgies, we ate damper from the Girl Guides and Sausages in bread from Lions.
The 2024 Show was officially opened by Mr. Steven Boyle, past President, Secretary and Life Member of the Mudgeeraba Show Society. Our Grand Parade delighted guests as vintage vehicles, champion livestock, our Show Ambassadors and community groups waved to the crowd.
We were entertained by our Hinterland Toyota Young Farmers Challenge on Saturday evening and were in awe of the Skyridge Fire & Light ignite Mudgeeraba Laser and Firework Extravaganza later that night.
Our Turners Engineering Cattle Precinct also welcomed our Big Rigs on Saturday and the annual Ute Muster on Sunday.
We enjoyed fantastic entertainment, rides and showbags and indulged in dagwood dogs and ice cream under blue skies and sunshine.
The Gold Coast Quilters Guild annual quilt show was admired by many and the sold-out TAFE (Qld) Farmers Feast was a delight for guests as they sat ringside enjoying a beautiful three course luncheon in the exclusive marquee.
Band of Blue kept the crowds dancing and the Army Band had everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves.
What a fabulous weekend! Thank you to our community for joining us, our sponsors for supporting us and to all of our amazing volunteers who bring the Show to life each year, we thank you!
We’ll see you again in 2025.
