The Heart of the Community

We are proud to welcome over 60 community organisations to the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds each year.  We donate over $100,000 to these groups annually through complimentary site fees, parking and tickets, discounted hall hire and donations for their volunteering services at the annual Mudgeeraba Agricultural Show. For some of these wonderful community groups, our annual Show is their biggest fundraiser of the year.

That’s why we love the Mudgeeraba Agricultural Show so much, it’s all about community!

The Showgrounds – A Place for Everyone

Year ‘round, the Showgrounds offer 13 acres of beautiful greenspace for recreational use for our community. We enjoy seeing hundreds of dog walkers (on leash), friends and family walking, picnicking and exercising on the grounds each week. It really is a wonderful place to enjoy. Anchor Blue coffee is also on the grounds Monday through Friday from 5am until mid morning.

I took my 2 1/2 yr old grandaughter. This was the first time we’ve been to the Mudgeeraba show. Everything was truly amazing ! I was so impressed as was my animal loving granddaughter. The baby animals were a huge hit, the Ferris wheel and the on-stage performance of thr cat and dog went down really well.

Celebrating Local Heroes

The Mudgeeraba Show Society is actively involved in community events outside of the Showgrounds. Each February, the Show Society hosts the Community Hero Awards at the Mudgeeraba Community Centre. These awards, recognise the amazing unsung volunteers and organisations across all walks of life from our local community. It is a wonderful celebration of some very special people and we are proud to have founded this event in 2023.

To see a different side of the show. To actually sit and watch and be involved and feeling like I was playing an important role in the show.

The Mudgeeraba Street Party

The Mudgeeraba Street Party is held in May each year in Mudgeeraba Village. We enjoy meeting our community and launching our annual Mudgeeraba Agricultural Show. In our Show marquee our volunteers hold ticket giveaways, promote our special ‘Street Party’ discounted tickets and introduce our Show Ambassadors to the public as they begin their leadership journeys heading into Showtime each June.

Supporting Our Region

As a group, the Show Society regularly attends and supports a number of other local agricultural shows across our region including Gold Coast Show, Gatton Show, Mt Gravatt Show, Canungra Show, Beaudesert Show, Tamborine Show, Toowoomba Show and Ekka.

Community Voices

I loved seeing the grand parade (especially the cattle) and also the llamas. The motor bike display was also very dramatic.

– Volunteer

Wood chopping, main ring evening events on Saturday, and the Navy, Police and Army bands
were great!

– Local Resident

The volunteers were friendly and helpful. The cleaning crew deserve an award. They were so
good at keeping the rubbish under control. And they were lovely young people who seemed
happy to be working there.

– Local Resident

Our site was perfectly placed – we loved the layout we had and the access to the heritage lane –
pig racing – also loved the chance to support other volunteers with the free sausage

– Local Organisation

Excellent show and so well organised – credit to staff and volunteers – cant wait to return next year

– Local Organisation
