We’re excited to share that our much-loved Bill Deacon Pavilion has received a full refresh with a brand-new coat of paint!
As a council-owned facility, the pavilion is an important space for our community, and we were proud to invest in giving it the care it deserves. The refreshed look has brightened the space and created an even more welcoming environment for all who use it.
A Space with Community at its Heart
Located within the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds, the Bill Deacon Pavilion has been a central hub for local events, gatherings, and celebrations since it was built in 1985. The pavilion is named in honour of Bill Deacon, a past President of the Mudgeeraba Show Society, recognising his contribution and dedication to the local show and community.
Over the years, the pavilion has played a vital role in bringing people together. It has hosted everything from community group meetings to weddings, workshops, and significant life events. It continues to be a place where memories are made and traditions are carried on.
Today, the Bill Deacon Pavilion remains one of the most versatile and well-used spaces within the showgrounds. This recent refresh ensures the space remains functional, welcoming, and ready for the future while still honouring its role as a longstanding part of the Mudgeeraba Show.
We look forward to hosting many more important events here for years to come, including weddings, workshops, and of course, our annual show, and to welcoming you into the refreshed pavilion very soon.
